"Miller's Girl," "The Glory of Life," and "Kung Fu Panda 4," the new animated adventure from DreamWorks featuring the panda Po on a dangerous mission: These are the cinema releases on March 14th.

The three films about the clumsy panda Po, who becomes a legendary dragon warrior in the first installment, grossed over $1.8 billion worldwide. Despite the good box office results, the fourth chapter of the popular DreamWorks series took a while to arrive. A whopping eight years after "Kung Fu Panda 3" (2016), a sequel is now hitting theaters, offering another exhilarating action ride. The titular hero faces a major change this time but must first overcome a new threat in the world. Will he succeed?

Also new in theaters: the satirical erotic thriller "Miller's Girl," starring Jenna Ortega as a student and Martin Freeman as a teacher playing with fire, and the film adaptation of "The Glory of Life" about the love between Franz Kafka and Dora Diamant.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Fans of the saga about dragon warrior Po didn't have to wait in vain after "Kung Fu Panda 3." In 2018 and 2022, the series "Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny" and "Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight" were released on Prime Video and Netflix respectively, expanding the world of the films. However, experiencing the panda bear again on the big screen is even more rewarding. Here, the series' characteristic crazy stunts come to full fruition.

In the new adventure, Po faces the challenge of growing up! Kung Fu Master Shifu informs the panda that he must take on the role of spiritual leader in the Valley of Peace. However, stepping up comes with a price: Po can no longer continue his beloved life as a dragon warrior, as an active protector of the community. No wonder he wants to avoid choosing a successor.

But a decision must wait as a new danger arises. Initially, Po believes his old adversary Tai Lung has returned. However, the cunning fox Zhen reveals crucial information: behind the mask of the snow leopard is actually a power-hungry chameleon, capable of assuming various forms and harboring sinister intentions. To thwart the plans, the panda and Zhen head to the metropolis of Juniper City.

Similar to the previous films, "Kung Fu Panda 4" doesn't place much emphasis on a sophisticated plot or multifaceted characters. The protagonist, voiced lively in the German version by Hape Kerkeling, and his new companion embark on a rather straightforward adventure with exciting landscapes, spectacular cityscapes, insane action choreography, and plenty of slapstick humor. What's notably different this time is that Po's stature and his appetite are less exploited for jokes. Surprisingly, the fourth installment gets quite spooky at times. Young children, especially during the fantasy-heavy finale, might find it a bit frightening.ss
