A Dark Stormy Night is a photograph I took during a rather long thunder storm one night in rural Virginia. I have always been fascinated with storms especially when they seem to come out of nowhere. Everything about them is abnormal, different, abstract call it what you will. The way the air feels charged minutes before they arrive, the sudden chill, the flashes in the distance bringing light to an otherwise dark night. Of everything I find beautiful about storms lightning is definitely one of the favorites on my list. From complete darkness something bright, beautiful, and different appears revealing things to you that couldn't be seen. Yet in an instant it's gone leaving you wishing you had more time with it's beauty and individuality.
