Artwork Description
The canvas is heartwood pine which I have confiscated from a historic house built in the 1890's in Atlanta Ga. I wanted to show the beauty of the sunset by using oils but at the same time use stains and show the natural beauty of this unique and rare wood.

Biography

Born in a small country called Moldova. Grew up poor as a child, emigrated to the U.S. at the age of about 10 years old with four sisters and one brother. Always had the passion and skill to draw from an early age. After graduating high school got into doing hardwood floors and in the mean time got a bachelors degree in Illustration and Design from the Art Institute of Atlanta. Had a few works displayed in the school show. Has always struggled to find a style that is comfortable and unique and it wasn't until graduating from college that the idea came to integrate wood with art in a way to show the natural beauty of the wood complimented by a few splashes of color which is sure to capture the eye as you walk into a room.
