Since childhood I already did a lot of drawing with just my pencil and ball pens. Scribbles here and then on my notebooks during my grade school. Then some watercolor paint set which is a luxury during my time. Even in my high school days I was using watercolor already and entered some of my paintings in the school art competition. I entered college in 1972 at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines and studied Bachelor of Fine Arts majored in Advertising Art and Graphic Design. Some of the subjects were involved in painting. That is why I was able to learn more and become more and more proficient in my drawings and paintings. In school we were required to used oil paint but since then I stop using it due to my allergic to chemical. So I change my medium to Acrylic. It is less irritating to my sense of smell.

My very first exposure to the art world was I joined a group show entitled "UNO SINGKO" (one-five) on February, 1975 at the Hidalgo Gallery, Makati, Philippines. The following year another group show by the surrealists group of the country at the Sillangan Gallery, Manila, Philippines. Then it followed from one group show after another at the same year. After college of 1977 since I studied Advertising. I landed a job in an advertising agency as an artist and eventually as an art director, During my free time; I still pursue on my life-long passion as a painter. I still paints and go on a show. This time I joined another group show with some surrealist painters at the Galeria De Las Islas Intramuros, Manila, Philippines August 8 to 23,1986.

When I came to reside here in the US, my very first solo show was at the Ipso Facto Gallery, at the City of Fullerton, California February 8 to March 7, 1991. This was my last art show since then. I settled down for a while to have my own family. But I didn't stop on my paintings. I still use my old reliable acrylic paints.

My recent show was my 2nd One-Man-Art Exhibition last August of 2010 at the Claremont Community Foundation Art Gallery, City of Claremont, California.
