Biography

I'm a self-taught emerging artist living in the snowy UT mountains with my husband Shane and two cats. I love life, being outside in all seasons, and creating. I create original paintings of zen themes, trees, impasto blossoms, birds, skyscapes, and couples in the rain in signature style. I especially enjoy working with palette knives and texture.

I am a showcased member of the RAW Artists Organization and EBSQ Art. My art is collected around the world, and has sold to countries as far away from the U.S. as Australia and Italy. I live by a quote from one of my favorite artists, Christophe Vacher, "Never stop creating." I am inspired by nature, animals, and the emotions love and joy.

I have lived all over the country and traveled to Spain, Australia, New Zealand, France, Gibraltar, Canada, and Hawaii (so far!) All of this has made me worldly and I love learning about other cultures, especially seeing their art and architecture. Since discovering my penchant for creating art over a decade ago I have seldom been seen without a paint brush in hand. I think seeing so many different types of cultures, plants, and places growing up really stayed in my mind and fuels me to create some of the beauty I have seen in the world today.

I am inspired by: Nature, Christophe Vacher, Asian art, John Waterhouse, unusual trees, the moon, new techniques, emotions (especially love and joy), seasons, and peacocks/birds
