Artwork Description
Acrylics felt adequate for faster, more determined brush strokes. I wanted to use mostly black and white - an idea of struggle with only a few faint signs of hope (the chaotic red stream of life, the timid blue penumbra, the few diffuse edges). The human silhouette is fighting a fast-approaching danger (the bird) - a sharp, predatory silhouette with endless wings. The outcome seems inevitable: life will escape the frame, the bird of fears and pains is about to melt into the man; its wing and his torso already have almost the same arc.
