Since childhood, I had an interest in photography. My first camera was a Brownie box camera with which I took some great family snapshots. My profession has been as a land surveyor, which has kept me outdoors most of my life. My hobby of photography became a career when the economy slowed down and I began working part time at a camera shop to supplement my income. I witnessed the evolution of the photo industry from 35mm film to digital media. The camera shop closed but my interest in photography did not end. With the purchase of a digital SLR, my photography evolved into more than just a hobby.
