Judy Hopkins

I have lived in Amarillo Texas since 1971 and have been married to my Photographer husband Terry Hopkins for 45 years. I own the Nevess7 Art Gallery and Studio in Amarillo. I learned to paint in oils, but have in recent years been painting in acrylics and watercolors. I am currently the President of the Watercolor Society of Amarillo. I was born in Hampton Virginia, but raised in The Portales NM Christian Children's Home until I went away to Lubbock Christian College to study Art. My studies include Art at Amarillo College in Amarillo Texas. I usually refer to myself as a Southwest Artist, but have been expanding into the fields of Abstract and Impressionism painting. I get most of my inspiration from my travels in New Mexico and Texas. I am a retired Insurance Agent.
