Karen Diane Johnson
Artist
A lifelong artist, I started in charcoal and pastels as a small child and stayed with that medium until adulthood when I finally discoverded oil painting. I immediately fell in love with the textures and color variations that oil paint provided and this is now my medium of choice. I typically use a limited pallette and my colors are blended as I create. While I don't limit myself to a particular subject type I do tend to prefer painting live subjects such as animals, people and plants. When I am not creating my own art I teach beginning pastel and oil classes to children and seniors.
