You should know by now that KPop is varied. K pop has something for everyone, whether you prefer mellow songs to listen to at home or explosive party bangers. However, with such variety comes a slew of K-pop singers and groups that will make you dizzy.

To help you relax, we've put up a list of the best KPop groups to ever grace the airways. Please keep in mind that this rating is based on global popularity, income earned, and the most recent rankings from prominent media sites and music services like Spotify and Tumblr.

1. BTS

Assemble, BTS ARMY! Isn't it true that BTS is for life? BTS (Bangtan Boys or Beyond the Scene) is the most successful K-pop group and the current face of Hallyu. BTS has evolved into a global sensation since its inception in 2013. Jungkook, V, RM, Jimin, Jin, Suga, and J-Hope make up the group. Their music is a mix of EDM, pop, and hip-hop, and it deals with delicate subjects like mental health and relationships.

BTS owns 11 Guinness World Records, in case you didn't know. They've won over 240 major accolades in less than a decade, including the American Music Awards, the Asian Awards' "Outstanding Achievement in Music," the BBC Radio1 Teen Awards, Billboard Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and even the United Nations' Global Sustainable Future Leaders in 2019.

2. BLACKPINK

What are the similarities between BLACKPINK and Beyoncé? Aside from the Blink (BLACKPINK) and Beyhive (Beyoncé) fan groups' near-cult status, both churn out success after hit. Rosé, Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie Kim, a K-pop girl quartet, have firmly secured their position as one of the top K-groups to symbolize South Korean culture.

BLACKPINK has dominated local and international charts since their debut in 2016 with the album "Square One," including Billboard's World Digital Songs, Emerging Artists, and Hot 100. Over 100 major awards have been nominated for the K-pop group. On December 8, 2019, the band was named "The Best Korean Artist" at the 2019 Tencent Music Awards. Other accomplishments include the old Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certification for their song, Ddu-Du Ddu-Du, and the top spot in Forbes Korea Power Celebrity 2019. In addition, the renowned K-pop quartet was just included to Time magazine's coveted "Time 100 Next" list.

3. EXO

Exo has tried it all: bubbly, bad guy, and adorable. The nine-member K-pop group first debuted in 2012 with 12 members, who were separated into two subgroups (EXO-K and EXO-M) based on their primary language. Kai, D.O., Sehun, Xiumin, Chanyeol, Chen, Lay, Suho, and Baekhyun are the current members.

The band's first EP "Mama" and album "XOXO" sent them on a path to extraordinary success, with over 150 accolades from over 250 nominations. The Guinness World Record for the "Most Daesang (Grand Prize) trophies earned at the Mnet Asian Music Awards" is EXO's most significant achievement. Since 2014, they've been in Forbes Korea Power Celebrity's top ten for six years in a row.

4.MONSTA

Monsta X, unlike the majority of the prominent K-pop groups on this list, is not handled by one of Korea's "Big 4" entertainment organizations. Instead, they're managed by Starship Entertainment, and since their debut in 2015, their fame has risen, true to the label's name. I.M (rapper), Jooheon (rapper), Kihyun (primary vocalist), Minhyuk (vocalist), Wonho (vocalist), Hyungwon (vocalist), and Shownu (vocalist) make up the group (vocalist).

Every Monsta X stan and Monbebe (fan club) should be familiar with the band from the blockbuster TV show "No.Mercy," where they met. The KPop band rapidly moved to the worldwide scene after releasing their debut album, "Trespass," and capturing the top place in Billboard's World Albums with their full-length album, "The Clan." The catchy and addicting tracks have also been used in Korean TV dramas and mobile apps.

5. NCT

With a total of 21 members, NCT (Neo Culture Technology) is perhaps the most popular K-pop group — good luck fitting all of their posters on your bedroom walls. The band has only been together for three years, yet they've already received over 30 honors and honours, including a commendation from South Korea's Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

It's worth noting that the group is broken down into subgroups based on their content. WayV (based in China), NCT Dream, NCT U, and the most popular NCT127 are among them (Seoul-based). The group is known for their excellent visuals and strong songs that leave you wanting more.

6. Red Velvet (NCT-ed)

Yeri, Joy, Wendy, Seulgi, and Irene make up one of the most well-known K-pop female groups in the world. The ensemble is a delectable blend of sensuality, glitz, and bravado that will quickly become your go-to drug.

With their smash track "Happiness," Red Velvet made their debut five years ago in 2014. Teen Choice Honors, The Fact Music Awards, Korean Entertainment Arts Awards, “Song of the Year” at Asia Artist Awards, and the Soribada Best K-Music Awards were among the awards they received in 2019. Between 2017 and 2018, they featured in famous TV shows such as the "2019 Idol Star Athletics Championships – Chuseok Special" and the "Level Up Project!"

7. Got7

Got7 is a group of K-pop performers from Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, and the United States of America that embody JYP Entertainment's concept. After their parent Korean entertainment business launched global tryouts, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, Yugyeom, Mark, and JB debuted in 2014.

The first mini-album, "Got It?" was a smash hit, propelling them to the top of the KPop charts. Got7 are known for their enthralling theatrical shows, which mix aspects of martial arts and street dance to enthrall audiences. From more than 100 nominations, the group has received over 45 local and international accolades as of the end of 2019.

8. TWICE

In Beyoncé's insightful words, "Who governs the world?" Girls!” Tzuyu, Nayeon, Dahyunand, Chaeyoung, Mina, Jihyo, Jeongyeon, Sana, and Momo are members of TWICE, a nine-member K-pop girl group.
