Artwork Description
An idea that came to me gradually. I originally created a piece with the centre tree only after spending many a lunch break staring at a particular tree located just off Mitchell Street in Darwin, NT. A couple of years later I was looking through some photos of mangrove trees that I had taken just near Rapid Creek, also in Darwin. A couple of them looked to be throwing their branches up and trying to flee… Originally did this piece on a 50cm x 100cm canvas in acrylic early 2012. This one was completed August 2013 using both Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop with a Wacom tablet.

Biography

Can’t remember a time when I wasn’t in love with art. All my life my world has been a collection of colours, shapes and blends.

Began with watercolours/acrylics as a child… got my first computer 20 years ago and added what is now referred to as ‘Pixel Art’ to my list. Graduated to a graphics tablet and Photoshop in recent years.

Fantasy art is my favourite. I love to create pieces that could never be photographed. The challenge for me is to make them appear real.

I’m currently studying for my Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts.
