Among them, Zhetai Ye stands as an exception, refusing to succumb to the pressure. Even as his wife is brought forward to confess the falsehood of their scientific endeavors and his daughter, Ye Wenjie, is restrained by guards in the audience, Zhetai remains resolute in his beliefs. However, after Wenjie is granted a brief moment to mourn her father, she is forcibly dispatched to work in logging camps situated in Inner Mongolia.
