I've been a visitor to Ios in the Greek Cyclades archipelago since 1974 and happily dedicate my time to the discovery of the island in all ways available to me. Originally from the Notting Hill area of London, I spent many years in Milan, Italy where amongst other things I was photographer for the Milan Cricket Club. This taught me the intricacies of capturing movement in people. As a freediver and spear fisherman, my eye is trained to notice sudden change in areas of darkness and appreciate the soft but deep colours and contrasts underwater, which I find beneficial when using my imagination for photo work on dry land. Working as a regular consultant to personalities such as Stefano Gabbana of Dolce e Gabbana, Gabriele Albertini, Mayor of Milan 1997 - 2006 and European Parliamentarian thereafter, Giampiero Vigorelli, one of the leading voices in Italian advertising for the last three decades, as well as the numerous PhDs of Natural Science I was Prof. to for fifteen years at Università degli Studi di Milano, whose attention to detail and enthusiasm was both fascinating and motivating, plus experience for over twenty years with top level structures like PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Saatchi & Saatchi Advertsing, McCann Worldgroup and Olgilvy & Mather has, all combined, given me a strong insight as to what excellence looks like and to strive as best as possible to find it in my own way.
