If I had to describe my art I would start with a few simple words such as Passion. Impulse. Balance. Serenity. Texture. I try to capture the moment, the essence of it, the flow, the play of light, the angle, the vibrancy in my work. I enjoy expressing myself through a range of mediums such as photography, painting, sketching and fabric art. On rare occasions, I even write poetry but even then I am still describing images and ideas that are best experienced visually. I am also entranced with the possibility of a moment captured such as the open door, the winding road, the landscape beckoning and equally intrigued by the soft petal, the flow of water, the windswept desert.
I am from North Carolina and have lived in Boston and Atlanta. I have also traveled and have had the opportunity to see and experience other places. My artistic influences are varied and many ranging the gamut from folk to indigenous as well as impressionism and modern.
