Naomi Campbell was (1978) born in Stirling, South Australia and grew up in the Adelaide Hills surrounded by trees and animals it is not surprising that she is inspired by nature.
In 2000 she completed a Bachelor of Visual Communications (Illustration Design) at the University of South Australia and upon completing her Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) at La Trobe University (Bendigo) in 2012. Upon returning home to Adelaide, Naomi decided it was time to return to her one true love of being an artist.
Specialising in pet portraits in pastel pencil from photographs Naomi creates an affordable lasting memory of your animal friends from Cats to Dogs and Guinea Pigs to Monkeys. If you have any kind of pet from an adorable cat to a lovable dog or something more exotic, Naomi is inspired by a challenge and would be honoured to immortalise your pet into a work of art.
Inspired by nature and working primarily in pastel pencils for drawing and Acrylic for painting. Naomi enjoys the challenge of recreating nature just as it is. With amazing works ranging from zoo animals to the humble flower.
Working with Acrylic paint, Naomi also thrives creating scenes that belong in this world, with a slight twist. Making art that is natural but a little Wonkie. Exploring ideas that could be possible and anchoring them in realistic environments allows the viewer to feel that her paintings are reality even though they sometimes contain elements of fantasy and mythical creatures.
