A colorful and vibrant fractal art According to Wikipedia, Fractal art is a form of algorithmic art created by calculating fractal objects and representing the calculation results as still images, animations, and media. Fractal art developed from the mid-1980s onwards. It is a genre of computer art and digital art which are part of new media art. As stated by Kerry Mitchell in The Fractal Art Manifesto, 'Fractal Art is a subclass of two-dimensional visual art... Generating fractals can be an artistic endeavor, a mathematical pursuit, or just a soothing diversion... Fractal art is expressive, creative, and requires input, effort, and intelligence.' The Grand Julian fractal pattern is named after the French mathematician Gaston Maurice Julia (3 February 1893 – 19 March 1978) who devised the formula for the Julia set. His works were popularized by French mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot; the Julia and Mandelbrot fractals are closely related.

I love playing with fractals. I love bringing my feelings, dreams and visions to life. I love to create new worlds or to see this one from a very different point of view. With Apophysis I discovered an entire new realm of fantasy and beauty. It’s a fairy tale! A real treasure for a seeker! This is my secret garden of dreams.
