‘Carry-On’ Theflixtor Review

All the overly saccharine Christmas movies that come out this time of year make me yearn for movies like Die Hard, Home Alone, and Krampus. You know, stories that spread the word of the Lord while also generally channeling the holiday spirit into something entertaining. You can watch this movie on myflixer movies
Surprisingly, Dear Santa somehow fulfilled that craving more than anything else. First of all, Satan appears instead of Santa Claus because a kid misspelled Santa, which is totally understandable.
The cast delivered some very good performances, and while I wasn't pleased with the overall presentation of the movie, the message of being kind in this cynical world somehow resonated with me. By this point, I had accepted the fact that this is the best Christmas movie I'll see this year. But just when my hopes were fading, Jaume Collet-Serra delivered Carry-On, a bona fide modern Christmas classic in my humble opinion.
Carry-On by Jaume Collet-Serra, illustrated by T.J. The Fixman tells the story of Ethan Kopec, who works at LAX airport, and his wife, Nora Parisi. Mr. Kopec once dreamed of becoming a police officer, but settled on working as a TSA agent because it helps him pay the bills and allows him to be close to his wife. However, with Kopec about to give birth, he decides he needs to aim higher, and he begins his ambition by gathering the courage to ask his boss, Phil Sarkowski, for a promotion. With a little help from his friend Jason, Kopec finds himself going through one of the luggage x-ray scanners to prove his worth on Christmas Day, the busiest time of the year in the United States. From Kopec's point of view, everything goes well at first, but then the earpiece is delivered and a terrorist, known only as the Traveler, is waiting on the other side, demanding that the suspicious baggage be allowed through. The scanner also works fine. If Kopec does not cooperate, the Traveler has his partner, a guard, aim a sniper rifle at Nora's head. Many will die if Kopec participates. Will Ethan save Christmas or look away when it becomes a day of death and suffering?
It doesn't take a genius to spot the similarities between Carry-On, Die Hard 2, Don't Hang Up and Jaume's collaborations with Liam Neeson, Non-Stop and The Commuter. But what surprised me is how this seemingly simple premise still shows great potential in the hands of a writer like T.J. Fixman, who is making his feature film screenwriting debut after working primarily in video games. The film is available to stream on Flixtor Info:
