Following the official release of World of Warcraft last WOTLK Gold night, Blizzard is giving away an epic mount for free to World of Warcraft owners if they play enough of its new card battler that is collectible.
Hearthsteed appears to be a magical Pegasus that has a neat blue-glow effect. Dataminers previously discovered a red glowing version of the mount in a WoW patch, which was thought as an Horde variant of Hearthsteed but this is not currently the case. Instead, you'll only see a blue glowing version right now.
In order to obtain the mount you'll need to win 3 matches against actual, human enemies in World of Warcraft 's Play or Arena modes. This isn't too difficult... however it does mean you'll have be able to participate in enough World of Warcraft to get an understanding to the gameplay.
If you've played World of Warcraft already, you'll need to score three more wins to become eligible. You'll be able to tell you've earned it when you receive you win the Mount Up! recognition (pictured to the right).
Being Hearthsteed can also grant any one of your World of Warcraft characters the " World of Warcraft d" achievement.
Blizzard also announced that players will be able improve one World of Warcraft character to level 90 through pre-ordering the upcoming expansion World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor.
