Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS is the latest surprise from renowned Japanese developer Bandai Namco for Nintendo Switch.
This title was announced at a PlayStation event, but the Naruto series has proven to be very attached to the hybrid console. In the past, the company released the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm trilogy on Switch , which included the first three installments. The console also received Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto separately.
Unfortunately Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker didn't make it to Nintendo Switch . Even so, the new Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS seems to be the definitive title that every fan of the series will want to have, and it will be officially released throughout 2023.
What does the new game include?
Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS is basically a compilation of all the installments of the Ninja Storm series in one game. For this reason, players will be able to relive the full story of the rivalry between Naruto and Sasuke from a young age to their teens. It also includes content from Boruto , that is, after the events of the end of Shippuden.
However, the content is not exactly that of the previous games. Bandai Namco has specified that they have cut some of the content from the different Ninja Storm for Naruto x Boruto Connections . This was probably necessary to reduce the base size, as well as to focus the story only on the essentials.
Despite the cuts, the company ensures that we will be able to relive the history of Anime by playing with the different characters throughout Naruto, from the beginning to the present day. We will even be able to review part of the history of his son, Boruto, and his talented classmates.
Is there new content?

But not everything in the game is recycled content. Bandai Namco revealed that Connections will feature an original story that we won't be able to find in any other Ninja Storm. We don't know anything about the plot, but we assume that it will be separate from the new characters, Indra and Ashura. These brothers are an important part of the series, as they were the true cause of the rivalry between Naruto, Sasuke, and his predecessors.
Some generational improvements
Being a compilation, Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS works with games from many years ago that have been graphically outdated.
It is for this reason that the game will have a notable improvement in graphics, especially compared to the first Ninja Storm. We are not aware of any Nintendo Switch-specific features other than the ability to play in handheld mode. However, the game will feature “sharp graphics” on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.
The largest cast of characters to date
If you are a fan of Naruto, you probably have more than one character from the series among your favorites. Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS will let you explore your tastes with the largest confirmed cast of characters to date in a Naruto game .
You will be able to use no less than 124 ninjas , each with their own movements and abilities. And the best thing is that you can choose them both in the main story and in multiplayer.
