safetotosite pro3 Lee Kang-In Should Worry About Fitness, Not Competition For A Starting Spot... Chances Of Starting Four Games In A Row Against Dortmund UP
Back To Blogs List
Paris Saint-Germain's (PSG) Lee Kang-inn is once again in a position to make a statement.

PSG will host Borussia Dortmund (Germany) at the Ziegener Iduna Park in Dortmund, Germany, on Thursday (Aug. 14) in the final Group F match of the 2023-2024 UEFA Champions League.

This match will decide the fate of PSG's season. PSG is in second place with two wins, one draw, and two losses in its first five matches with seven points. Leaders Dortmund have already qualified for the round of 16 with three wins, one draw, and 10 points. Instead, Newcastle United (England) and AC Milan (Italy) are chasing PSG with five points apiece. If PSG loses to Dortmund and one of Newcastle or AC Milan wins, PSG will drop to third place. That would mean they would fail to qualify for the round of 16.

PSG values the UEFA Champions League more than the French Ligue 1. Their ultimate goal is to win the Champions League, not Ligue 1. A group stage exit would be a difficult outcome for PSG to accept. They need to maintain their current position to continue their title challenge.

There is speculation that Lee could start in this crucial match. French media outlets Le Parisien and Le Figaro reported on Nov. 11 that Lee could start in the best 11. 토토

The biggest reason for Lee to start is the absence of Ousmane Dembele. Dembele picked up a yellow card in the last game and will not play against Dortmund due to suspension. Local media have suggested that Kylian Mbappe could start up front, with Bradley Barca and Lee Kang-In on the left and right flanks.

Lee has been solidifying his place in the starting lineup recently. He has started all three of PSG's official games. In the last two Ligue 1 games, he has played the entirety of the match without being substituted. He's clearly earned the trust of PSG coach Luis Enrique.

The reasons are clear. He can play in any position. He can play left or right wing-forward, as well as midfield, giving him the freedom to make changes during the game. Enrique is a coach who likes to make changes during the game. While he doesn't have the explosive speed of Barcelona or Dembele, he has the ability to keep possession of the ball and make clever plays. The Spaniard is more suited to Enrique's style.

Up until his move to PSG this summer, there were concerns about competition for places in the starting lineup. Aside from his move to a big club, there were also predictions that he would have a hard time surviving in such a colorful lineup. However, contrary to the fears, he has proven to be a solid presence for Enrique. If anything, he has to worry about his fitness to cope with the amount of playing time.
