On the 29th (Korean time), American sports media 'CBS Sports' introduced three Asian players who will be eligible for Major League Baseball posting after this season. Lee Jung-hoo, the "grandson of the wind" (Kiwoom outfielder), is one of them.

Lee made his professional debut in 2017 after being drafted by Nexen in the first round after graduating from Humungo, and in 883 career games, he has a .344 batting average (3475-for-1181) with 65 home runs, 515 RBI, 581 runs scored, and 69 stolen bases.

In his rookie year, he played in every game and won Rookie of the Year honors after batting .329 (179-for-552) with two home runs, 47 RBI, 111 runs scored and 12 stolen bases, and was named MVP last year after leading the league in batting average (.349), hits (193), RBI (113), slugging percentage (.421) and on-base percentage (.575). 토토사이트

Lee has won five consecutive Golden Gloves in the outfield since 2018. He has been a regular for his national team at the 2017 Asian Professional Baseball Championship (APBC), the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, the 2019 WBSC Premier12, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and the 5th World Baseball Classic (WBC) in 2023.

According to CBS Sports, "Lee is nicknamed the grandson of the wind after his KBO MVP father (current LG coach Lee Jong-beom). The left-handed hitter is batting .340 with a .407 on-base percentage, .491 slugging percentage, 65 home runs and 69 stolen bases."

The outlet added, "Many former KBO hitters have struggled to adjust to fastball pitching after making their major league debuts, but Lee has drawn more walks than strikeouts over the past five years. He has shown above-average contact ability since his debut."

The San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants, Kim's former clubs, are interested in Lee Jeong-hoo. "San Diego is keeping a close eye on Lee Jung-hoo. "San Francisco has been looking into Lee and is in need of infield reinforcements due to the team's situation," the outlet said, adding that the fact that Lee played on the same team as Kim Ha-seong is considered an advantage.

The outlet also cited Japanese national team aces Yoshinobu Yamamoto (Orix Buffaloes) and Shota Imanaga (Yokohama DeNA Basestars) as players that major league clubs are keeping an eye on.
