Uzbek soccer player Abdurauf Buriyev, who injured members of the South Korean national soccer team with a rough tackle, has been trending on social media.

The Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games football team, led by Hwang Sun-hong, won the football quarterfinal against Uzbekistan 2-1 at the Huanglong Sports Center Stadium in Hangzhou, China, on Thursday.

Korea advanced to the final thanks to a multi-goal performance from Jung Woo-young (Stuttgart), but were threatened by Uzbekistan's rough play throughout the match.

The Uzbek players not only committed dangerous fouls but also used hand-to-hand combat, which made the game unpleasant to watch.

Most notably, in the 16th minute of the second half, Umwonsang suffered an ankle injury when she was brought down by a backtackle from Ibrohimhalil Yuldashev. Yuldashev then grabbed the ball and threw it to the ground in frustration after knocking him down. Uhm Won-sang was eventually replaced by Ahn Jae-joon (Bucheon) in the 21st minute of the second half.

Uzbekistan's threatening play didn't stop there. In the 27th minute, Abdurauf Buriyev made a reckless tackle on a penetrating Cho Young-wook (Gimcheon Commerce), leaving him in pain. 안전토토사이트

Abdurauf Buriyev claimed that he made the tackle and lay down in pain and did not get up. However, the referee showed Abdurauf Buriyev a yellow card and he was sent off for accumulated cautions.

After the game, South Korean soccer fans criticized the Uzbek players, calling it "thug football" and a "killer tackle." However, when Abdurauf Buriyev's social media posts were made public, he received a "reversal" of sentiment.

In his Instagram highlights, Abdurauf Buriyev has carefully organized photos from his trip to South Korea last September for an evaluation match, complete with a flag emoji.

In particular, he added the words "Suwon Station" and a flag emoji to a photo taken in front of Suwon Station in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, and users commented, "He was actually longing for Korea," and "It's interesting to see a flag at Suwon Station."

Meanwhile, Hwang will play the final match of the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games against Japan at the Huanglong Sports Center Stadium on July 7 at 9 p.m. KST.
