The Ocean is most exiting in stormy weather. It is an experience to watch the swells of the waves crashing against the rocky shores. To capture the movement of the water driven by strong winds can be a welcome challenge to an artist. To create the right atmosphere of the sea under dark clouds is created by using strong contrasts. My technique is to use impasto techniques for the light areas, and layers of dark glazes for the shadow areas.
