The movie revolves around the competition to reach the moon and the United States' determination to outdo the Russians at all costs, whether in actuality or merely in the eyes of the world. Enter Kelly Jones, an advertising expert tasked with persuading the global audience of America's urgency to be the first on the moon. Unbeknownst to her, the government also has plans for her to lead project Artemis, the contingency plan in case the moon landing goes awry. Harrelson portrays Moe Burkus, a government official acting as the intermediary between the White House and NASA as Apollo 11 approaches its mission.
