“Love Hurts Lookmovie” struggles with issues of commitment. This romantic action comedy aims to be a nostalgic throwback with a contemporary twist, yet it fails to engage with the romance, action, or humor it attempts to portray. This is particularly fitting as the story centers on Marvin Gable, an unassuming former hitman who has transitioned to a career in real estate, selling bland suburban homes. However, his past catches up with him, prompting Marvin to reevaluate whether he has merely been peddling houses or if he has also constructed a false identity for himself. This lackluster premise reveals the film's shortcomings, and despite Quan's efforts, there is nothing in this uninspired film that feels worth investing in.
