Having grown up with the original miniseries, I always felt that this remake would struggle to surpass the classic. However, I found this film to be enjoyable, with characters that were quite appealing. It was nice to see more of Barlow throughout the movie. The soundtrack and score were well-executed, enhancing the overall experience. Salem's Lot Lookmovie leans more towards a reboot, as it alters the story; some scenes mirror the original while others have been rearranged, introducing some unexpected twists. I would recommend this film, but if you cherish the original and the book, approach it with the understanding that it won't match the original's caliber. Instead, enjoy it as a lighthearted horror movie.
