Thelma, living independently in her own house, gladly accepts periodic assistance from her grandson Daniel. Their close relationship becomes a disadvantage when a clever phone scammer preys on Thelma's vulnerability. In her desperation to help Daniel, she unknowingly sends a substantial sum of money to the scammer.
