cobwebs a life like so many zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz The series "Cobwebs" is the result of a careful study that has occupied several months in 2001, originally, was formed of twenty composite images. At that time, the events allowed me to carry out only a few paintings, while the rest remained unfinished for years, at various stages. Now I can finally proceed to the full materialization of quel'idea then left in half. The style is post-cubist; leverages cutting planes forming backgrounds in their own right which together form a whole, as well as individual events and emotions, like a mosaic, integral to life itself. In the painting, plans cut and cut around the main subject, which is the woman, any woman, in her daily life. Several subjects / objects coexist within the planes, someone is present in all the paintings (the domestic cat and the spiderweb) and various painterly effects, some poorly reproducible in the picture. Among them, particular is that recreates the optical effect of a hologram (not everything is as it seems ... it depends on your point of view). The plans are further cut with blades of gold, black and phosphorescent (glow in the dark a few lines, others in the sun, others are opaque and dull ...), to show how the various facets of an object, as well as people and moods, are changing, as the light reflected from an optical prism. The "Cobwebs", light wires that move with the wind, framing the repeated and mundane daily activities as well as unique and never banal acts of love towards the family, children, and finally home, nursery and primary shelter.
