Epic MMO games, or massively multiplayer online games, have been popular for many years amongst gamers from all parts of the world. By 1978 multiplayer textbased games good be found at universities and colleges and throughout other private servers. There were very strict controls dictating how the Internet could be used for commercial gain in the early 1990âs, however, so games were limited as to their multiplayer scope and cost between $5 and $12 per hour to play, depending on the game and the networking service being used. The 1990âs saw the incredible expansion of the Internet from a small network of computers to an international system; game developers knew that the Web offered a chance for space MMOâs to progress. MMOâs became a much more marketable option for game developers in the following years, however, when the regulations controlling the Internet changed. Mobile game developers must have some of the qualities to become proficient in their field.
