As far back as I can remember I've enjoyed the creative process. From ceramics to sewing, calligraphy to photographic portraiture, to acrylic painting. For many years, while raising my family, I operated a photographic studio specializing in Portraiture. Once the children were grown and the last off to college I began my pursuit of wet media art. I settled into acrylics because I find them easy to work with, they have a fast drying time and the colors do not get "muddy" when mixed.
I enjoy the entire creative process but mostly I enjoy learning and teaching! I teach workshops a couple of times a year either in photography or wet media and in some cases I will incorporate the two. I have five post graduate degrees in photography to include: Master Photographer, Master Digital Artist, Master Craftsman, Certified Professional Photographer and Fellow Photographer. My experience and training in photography has served me well in wet media since I developed a good eye for composition, color harmony, lighting, perspective, etc.
I hope you will enjoy my art as much as I enjoy creating it. My art journey is both fulfilling and challenging and I constantly challenge myself to create something unfamiliar and use products that feed my interest along this journey.
