If you're looking for a solid smartphone that's just as powerful as the iPhone but won't blow your budget, you need look no further than the newly released OnePlus 7t .The phone was first announced back in April, so you've got plenty of time to make your own verdict on whether or not it's worth the money. With the holiday season upon us now, we thought it'd be a great time to share some of our thoughts on this device and where it falls within the smartphone family. So, without further interruption, we present the OnePlus 7t review.
When the OnePlus 7t Reviewed was released, it was immediately clear that this phone had everything it was promising to offer - cutting edge features, a large display, all in-screen fingerprint sensor. The one issue with the phone was its lack of a headphone jack. While it's certainly convenient to have a phone when you're out on the go, it can limit your enjoyment if you want to listen to music or take a phone call.
That problem is solved with the inclusion of a dock connector in the bottom of the phone. For many, this isn't a big deal, but for others this eliminates one of the reasons they bought the onerous 7t in the first place. For those that do find this missing, there's good news: Sony has included an ability to buy additional memory from the manufacturer, though this option will cost you extra money. The one plus in this situation are the enhanced camera system, which makes this handset one of the best devices for taking high quality photos.
This one may be short, but we'll make it good: The oneplus 7t review will include some disappointment. Despite boasting features like water resistance up to a depth of three feet and a solid construction, the phone didn't live up to expectations for the most part. It's not that the display wasn't clear and colorful - it's just that the other apps and features on the phone were a step down from its high standards. Even the notification bar didn't live up to expectations, with little useful information presented to users. It's one of those phones where the battery won't last too long before needing a replacement, and the screen will start to turn off at regular intervals unless users are active in dimming the lights.
The one thing it did well, however, is the phone's picture quality, which is surprisingly excellent. The colors are vibrant and the detail in pictures is great, even on the subject of the shot. There's also a handy auto white balance feature, which will automatically adjust the camera's white balance based on the current light in order to produce the clearest pictures. This makes for outdoor scenes where the onerous 7t might struggle, especially when there's low lighting or motion.
If you're looking at this phone as more of an all round professional tool, the one plus point it certainly has is the phone's optical zoom feature. Most consumer reviews have lauded the lens as being extremely sharp, which means that you'll be getting quality images no matter what you are doing. On the flipside, the one big con of the lens is that the pictures it creates on the screen are a bit cloudy. In comparison to the zoom offered by most digital cameras, though, this one isn't that bad.
