George Liang grew up in Taiwan. He showed his aptitude in drawing and painting since the age of six, when he learned to sketch, and paint oil and watercolor paintings. In the 1970s he moved to California and sharpened his painting skills, took classes and workshops learning from watercolor masters such as Timothy Clark, Don Andrews, Alvaro Castagnet, Tony Couch, Frank Eber, Joseph Zbukvic, Kieko Tanabe, Jerry Stitt, Thomas Schaller, and Fealing Lin.
In 2010 George devoted all his of time to watercolor painting focusing on Landscapes, Western culture and Portraiture. He has won many awards from local, national and international juried art exhibition:
