George Liang, Watercolor Artist  Artist
George Liang grew up in Taiwan. He showed his aptitude in drawing and painting since the age of six, when he learned to sketch, and paint oil and watercolor paintings. In the 1970s he moved to California and sharpened his painting skills, took classes and workshops learning from watercolor masters such as Timothy Clark, Don Andrews, Alvaro Castagnet, Tony Couch, Frank Eber, Joseph Zbukvic, Kieko Tanabe, Jerry Stitt, Thomas Schaller, and Fealing Lin.
In 2010 George devoted all his of time to watercolor painting focusing on Landscapes, Western culture and Portraiture. He has won many awards from local, national and international juried art exhibition:
First and/or Second Place, San Gabriel Fine Art Association in 2010, 2011, 2012
Watercolor West International Juried Exhibition in 2011 Watercolor Paintings Exhibition at Temple City Civic Center in 2011 Watercolor Painting Exhibition at Alhambra City Hall Gallery of Arts in 2012 Honorable Mention Award with Jacobs Center & Gallery, Maloof Foundation in 2013 Pennsylvania Watercolor Society International Juried Exhibition in 2013 National Watercolor Society Juried Member Exhibition 2013 Solo Exhibition at Crain Art Gallery, San Marino, CA. in 2013 33rd International Exhibition in 2013, San Diego Watercolor Society
