Gina Femrite femrite studios
Artist
Gina Femrite began cultivating her artistic abilities at an early age under the guidance and mentorship of her father Johann Strater, a European Impressionist. As an incredibly talented and innovative artist her passion, dedication, and vision has acclaimed her the status of an accomplished, and well sought after artist among other contemporaries of this time. Her primary inspiration came from her love of both the Flemish masters and the French impressionists. From that influence Gina developed her own unique style, a mixture of realism interwoven with a contemporary flair. The body of her work entails paintings that celebrate the soft beauty of the female figure, wildlife that captures the accuracy of the physique and movement of the animals, and also the spirit of the grandeur of nature. In some of the artwork the palette is bold and full of contrast, where other paintings have a soft and airy beauty. All pieces are a masterful creation in composition, color, harmony, and technique. Gina has won many awards and recognition as an artist and illustrator. She has created an international following of corporate and private collectors. Her work has been purchased for reproductions by many prestigious publishing houses.

Humorous pet collection
9 Artworks
This collection was created with dog and cat lovers in mind. The uniqueness of this gallery is that each artwork depicts pets acting like we do. I chose the pets according to breed and personality to make these humorous scenes believable. The cats are placed in luxuries settings with kitties drinking wine or champagne and testing gourmet finger foods. This is something we could imagine our furry friends would love as lifestyle. For the dogs on the other hand I felt that the needed an active environment. These images involved dogs in sports like tennis, weightlifting and even bowling, something so fitting for our four legged companions.

Amphibians frogs playing instruments
4 Artworks
The summer nights are filled with the sounds of little creatures called frogs. The series frog musician is inspired by those sounds. I imagined that frogs playing instruments, each one according to their own species, to create a harmonious orchestra for our entertainment. If you one of the people that love frogs, this gallery should amuse you.

Landscapes and Townscapes
2 Artworks
Many scenes in this collection are from places in Europe. I am from that region and have visited these wonderful areas. The buildings in the old towns are decorated with colorful shutters and doors and dressed in flowers winding down from balconies and roofs. The fields in the summer are speckled with wildflowers and an aroma of lilac fills the air.
In my paintings I share the memories of my travels with the viewer in the hope, that he or she also will experience the atmosphere of beauty and charm portrait by these old countries.

Seascapes and Lighthouses of America
2 Artworks
This gallery introduced to the visitor paintings that celebrate the American lighthouses with their beauty and verity of architecture. I represent these lighthouses exactly as they are by giving much attention to the structural detail. In contrast of the accuracy of the buildings, I have taking some liberty in creating the surrounding landscape. I am more interested in giving space to the beauty of the ocean then to paint a correct rendering of the area in close proximity of the lighthouse. I believe that adding the movement of crushing waves and sparkling lights dancing over the water breathe life into the artwork. By using creative freedom in conjunction with the realism of the actual scene, I offers to the buyer the best of both worlds.

Wildlife and Civilisation
1 Artwork
This collection depicts Wildlife in conjunction with manmade creations. With these paintings I attend to make this statement; the wonders of nature are beautiful and as important to preserve as the things built by civilization throughout history.

Contemporary still life and floral
2 Artworks
When painting floral designs, I prefer to create that subject in a contemporary and decorative style. Flowers are beautiful in any art form. I like to experiment with different textures and background shapes, making use of the flexible range for the negative space that surrounds the flower. Also these scenes adapt to an unlimited color scheme. Therefore the art in this gallery should be great as decor for different homes or offices.
