Artwork Description This painting is the result of my exploration of Paul-Émile Borduas’ Black and White series. My desire was to capture his veracity to conquor space. His play of texture, contrast and movement that I hope will evoke his presence on the senses of the viewer. Borduas is a twentieth century Quebec artist, who is known for positing a few ideas (The Rufus Global, 1947 ) that are at the foundation of contemporary French Quebec thought.
